Accounts Payable Lead

Trillium Construction is now hiring in San Diego, CA.

Our client is an EPC and solar services provider for the utility solar, high voltage substation and energy markets across North America. They are now looking to bring on an Accounts Payable Lead to work out of their corporate office in San Diego, CA. This is a direct hire opportunity with a salary between $60k and $80k depending on experience, and a great benefits package which includes M/V/D, 401k, PTO, and a flexible schedule. 

Duties:
· Reviewing, tracking and reporting the performance of Accounts Payable team with external benchmarking, simplify the processes and improve team’s performance.
· Collaborate with other team members on resolving PO and Contract Change Order issues in order to post invoices.
· Support new business partner onboardings and vendor maintenance including collecting W9s. Assist Accounts Payable Manager with 1099 issuances.
· Keep accurate records and participate in financial audits and provide necessary information and documents related to AP.
· Maintain a clear schedule of payment obligations and ensure timely payments to vendors.
· Manage the payment process, including setting up payment runs, generating in-house checks and uploading payment runs
· Assist with reviewing and managing expense reports, and corporate credit cards. Support users and troubleshoot issues with IT as needed. Assist with employee expense reimbursements.
· Calculate and prepare monthly accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations and metrics.

Qualifications: 
· 5+ years experience in accounting and bookkeeping and at least three years in AP, is a must.
· Strong understanding of AP processes including invoice processing, reconciliations, and AP accruals
· Experience with 3-way/2-way match
· Experience with 1099 processing and vendor record setup.
· Experience with CMIC, RAMCO, Certify or other construction management & service software is a plus.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
